2010 STREET FAIR AND HARVEST FAIR
The Needham Business Association’s Street Fair will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010, and the Harvest Fair will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010. For the next two years the Street Fair and the Harvest Fair will be held at Needham High School Memorial Field due to the ongoing Town Hall Renovation Project. There will be entertainment all day, children’s activities, food, and booths from member businesses and local non-profit agencies. Parking will be available on the upper lot at Needham High School and across the street at 145 Rosemary Street. Louise Condon’s Trolley Ride will pick up and drop off people at the Town Common and the parking lot at 145 Rosemary Street. The Trolley will run from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. If weather becomes a problem on either of these two dates, we have scheduled rain dates on Sunday, June 6, 2010, and Sunday, October 3, 2010. If rain dates are necessary the fairs will run from 12 to 5 pm.
By attending or participating in the Street Fair and Harvest Fair you will have an opportunity to socialize and connect with friends and acquaintances. You will also get an opportunity to see what your local merchants have to offer in a fun and exciting atmosphere. These Fairs are attended by 2000 to 3000 people.
As with any large event, sponsorships are necessary to offset the costs of public safety requirements and entertainment. Consider becoming a sponsor – it is an excellent opportunity for your business to be seen by 2000-3000 local citizens. For more information on the benefits of becoming a sponsor, call 781-444-7980 or email us at nba@needhambusiness.com.
Street Fair applications will be available in March 2010.

The Needham Business Association’s annual Harvest Fair took place on Saturday, October 3, 2009 on the town common. Many local merchants did set up on the common despite the promise of rain.
The highlight of the Harvest Fair was the crowd favorite "Souper Bowl" which was held under the big tent. Eleven local food purveyors competed for top honors in a soup taste-off. Panera Bread was awarded the Judges Choice Award for their Broccoli Cheddar Soup and Briarwood Healthcare was awarded the Peoples Choice Award for their Smoked Oyster and Corn Chowder. The soup tent opened to the public at 11:30 and was a great way for everyone to warm up and get out of the rain!

Spooky Walk - Brought to you by the Needham Park and Recreation Committee and the NBA
The Needham Business Association together with the Needham Park and Recreation Commission will be holding the annual Spooky Walk on October 23, 2010 from 11:00 to 12:30.
The Spooky Walk is a great way to bring families into downtown Needham to visit local businesses and for the children to go trick-or-treating. In recent years over 200 children have participated in this event. Needham businesses participate by passing out treats to the kids! This is an excellent opportunity for parents (who accompany their children on this adventure) to become introduced to Needham businesses.

NBA Sponsors the Blue Tree Lighting
The Needham Business Association’s annual Blue Tree Lighting will take place on Saturday November 27, 2010 in the Needham Heights Avery Square and the Needham Town Common. The Blue Tree has been a town tradition since 1954 to ring in the beginning of the holiday season.
It is hard to resist the excitement of counting down those final seconds before the lighting of the tree. After the tree lighting, Santa rides into the Town Common and assumes center stage to listen to all the children's holiday wishes. Whatever your reason for coming out, don't miss this chance to experience the warmth and community spirit firsthand. With your help we will be able to continue this wonderful tradition. It is never too late to make a donation to the Blue Tree Lighting Fund. Call 781-444-7980.
