- Date: Saturday, June 5, 2010 – 10 am to 3 pm at NEEDHAM HIGH SCHOOL, MEMORIAL FIELD.
- Set up and Check In: 7:45 am to 8:45 am – When you arrive, YOU MUST CHECK IN at the NBA table by the Gazebo to obtain your space location and other important information.
- Breakdown: To maintain the momentum of the fair and visitors’ attention, you should not breakdown your booth any earlier than 3 pm. Vehicles may be brought back to Memorial Field NO EARLIER THAN 3 PM, and break down should be completed by 3:30 pm.
- Trash: All vendors are responsible for removing their own trash at the end of the day. A dumpster is being provided by the DPW for this purpose.
- Electricity: Please bring a 150 ft heavy duty electrical cord to plug into the electrical outlet if you need electricity.
- Space size: 10 x 10 feet. One tent with pedestal base 10 x 10 feet is allowed per space. All vendors will be located on the black top. If you are concerned about the weather, please bring a golf umbrella, canopy or a tent to protect against sun or rain as there is little or no shade.
- Parking: Vendors and the public may park in the lot located behind the high school – see attached directions.
- Trolley: Louise Condon’s Trolley will bring people back and forth from Needham Town Common up to the upper parking lot at the high school and will also pick up and drop off people on the corner of Rosemary Street and Highland Ave.
- Food Vendors: All food vendors selling pre-packaged food or fresh food are required to obtain a temporary food permit from the Needham Board of Health no later than Friday, 6/4. All food handlers must follow food-handling guidelines in order to participate. We will be providing a list of food handlers to the Board of Health. If you will be serving/giving out food please call the Health Department directly at 781-455-7523.
- Helium Balloon Tanks: If you plan to bring a helium balloon tank, you must follow all guidelines in order to participate in the Fair. All helium balloon tanks must be secured to a pole or a tree with a chain. Please receive proper handling training from the rental agency.
- Prohibited Items: Silly string, stink bombs, snaps, caps, plastic guns/knives and other destructive items.
- Rain date: Sunday, June 6, from 12 to 5. A recording on the NBA voicemail will announce the decision to cancel the event because of weather safety concerns. Call 781-444-7980.

TO LOAD AND UNLOAD YOUR VEHICLE ONLY
FROM BOSTON/CAMBRIDGE
Take Mass. Pike West to Rte 95 (128) South
Take Exit 19B Highland Avenue, Needham
Follow Highland Avenue into Needham Center, approx. 4 miles. When you see the Library on your right and Christ Episcopal Church on your left, go through the traffic lights, Sudbury Farms will be on your right and the entrance to Memorial Park will be on your left.
FROM THE NORTH SHORE
Take Rte 95 (128) South and follow directions as above.
FROM THE SOUTH SHORE
Take Rte 95 (128) North to Great Plain Ave./West Roxbury, Exit 20A. Follow Great Plain Avenue to Needham Center, approx. 3 miles. When you come into the center, at the first major set of lights, go straight across to Highland Avenue. Follow Highland Avenue straight until you come to Sudbury Farms on your left and the entrance to Memorial Park will be on your right.
FROM WESTWOOD
Take Summer Street to Westfield Street to Dedham Street to Chestnut Street. After you pass the Hospital and Fire Station on Chestnut Street, there will be a major set of lights. Go straight at traffic lights across Great Plain Ave. until you come to intersection of Chapel Street and Highland Avenue. Follow Highland Avenue straight until you come to Sudbury Farms on your left and the entrance to Memorial Park will be on your right.
FROM FRAMINGHAM/NATICK/WELLESLEY
Take Rte 135 East into Needham Center. When you come into the center there will be 2 major sets of traffic lights. Take a left onto Highland Avenue. Follow Highland Avenue straight until you come to Sudbury Farms on your left and the entrance to Memorial Park will be on your right.
FROM DOVER/MEDFIELD
Take Dedham Street to Chestnut Street. Follow Chestnut Street and you will pass the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital on your right. Cross over Great Plain Avenue onto Chapel Street. Follow until you come to the intersection of Chapel Street and Highland Avenue. Follow Highland Avenue until you come to Sudbury Farms on your left and the entrance to Memorial Park will be on your right.
PARKING AFTER UNLOADING YOUR VEHICLE: Exit onto Rosemary Street, take a left onto Highland Avenue. Pass Memorial Park and take your first left onto Oakland Street, left onto Kingsbury Street and follow Kingsbury to Needham High School parking lot on the left (Admiral Gracey Way). |
